Colorado State University

Colorado State University is frequently recognized for our groundbreaking research, our dedication to our land grant mission, and our academic reputation. Nearly 23,000 undergraduate students enjoy an environment of deep cooperative learning in over 70 programs across 8 colleges.

But, what we’re really proud of is our commitment to each student as a whole person – not just a student inside the classroom.

Our students can take advantage of more than 500 campus clubs and organizations, and a culture of service permeates the University. Fort Collins, situated along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, offers students quick access to outdoor adventure and a stimulating, innovative community in which to live and learn.

We’re proud of the learning environment at Colorado State both inside and outside the classroom, and the Office of Admissions is excited to support you as you begin your college journey.

Enrollment Information

WUE Scholar Designation

Designation as a WUE Scholar at Colorado State University recognizes a student's sustained commitment to academic achievement. Colorado State offers WUE as a competitive award for first-time freshmen who have met all University admission standards with exceptional academic performance and for a select number of transfers in specified majors who have met all University admission standards and demonstrate work/volunteer experience relevant to their academic/career goal.

First-time Freshman Applicants

Refer to our Freshman/First-Year Application Guide at admissions.colostate.edu/futurefreshmenhowtoapply. No separate application is necessary for WUE consideration, but selection is competitive (see sfs.colostate.edu/wue-award-for-freshmen). Freshman/first-year WUE awards are open to all undergraduate academic programs. As funding allows, CSU may extend WUE to students slightly below the published selectivity level according to established criteria for holistic review.

Freshman/first-year applicants are encouraged to submit a Complete Application no later than February 1 for full admission and scholarship consideration for the fall semester; however, WUE awards are granted for both the fall and spring semesters on a rolling basis provided applicants have met the final application deadline.

Transfer Applicants

Refer to our Transfer Application Guide at admissions.colostate.edu/transferstudentshowtoapply. While no separate WUE application is necessary, students must be admitted to one of 20 approved majors to be considered for the WUE Transfer Scholar award through a departmental selection process (see sfs.colostate.edu/wue-award-for-transfer-students).

Transfer applicants are encouraged to submit a Complete Application by February 1 for early admission and scholarship consideration for the fall semester; however, WUE Transfer Scholar awards are granted for both the fall and spring semesters provided applicants have met the final application deadline. Award notices are sent within one month after the final deadline for each semester.
