Pima Community College

On February 26, 2015, the Higher Learing Commission(HLC) of the North Central Association placed Pima Community College on Notice. The HLC is one of several regional and national organizations that accredit institutions of higher education such as PCC. Notice means that the College is now in compliance with the HLC's Criteria for Accreditation, but remains at risk of being out of compliance with the Criteria for Accreditation and the Core Components. (See Accreditation page of our website).

The integrity and quality of PCC's programs and student support services are not being questioned. We do not expect any changes in our ability to provide financial aid, the ability to transfer courses and programs to another college or, most importantly, in the value of our degrees and certificates. In short, the opportunity afforded to students to get a high-quality education at an affordable price at PCC will not be affected. While on notice, PCC remains fully accredited by the HLC.

Pima Communtiy College is located in Tucson and is one of the largest multi-campus community colleges in the United States. Pima has six campuses that offer university transfer programs, occupational programs, and traditional general studies courses. All programs and courses are offered in a variety of instructional modalities.
