Submit all admission materials by Boise State’s 2017 Fall NonResident Application Priority Date on December 15, 2016. All materials must be received by Boise State Admissions on or before the Application Priority date.
Have a permanent residence within one of the following participating states/U.S. territories: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Guam, and Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI).
Be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
New Entering Freshmen are eligible for the WUE scholarship with both a 3.20 cumulative unweighted high school GPA, and a composite SAT score of 1060 for exams taken March 2016 and later. For exams taken prior to March 2016, the combined critical reading and math requirement is 980. The minimum requirement for the ACT is a composite score of 21. Additional students will be considered based on resource availability. High School students with college credits will be considered based on their high school GPA and test scores.
New Transfer Students must have earned 26 or more semester credits from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with at least a 3.50 cumulative college GPA in order to be considered for this highly competitive award. (Students with less than 26 transfer credits are encouraged to submit a high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores to the Admission’s Office to be evaluated for scholarship consideration).
Be accepted as a degree-seeking student with an eligible undergraduate program. Please note that the over enrolled programs are closed to WUE participants. Students who choose an over enrolled major on their application for Boise State admission or within their Student Center will not be considered for the WUE. The closed majors include Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiology, and Pre-Radiology. Self-supported online programs are also closed to WUE participants. These programs are subject to change.
Competitive Programs: Some programs are especially selective for this scholarship, and will require higher academic performance. These include: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Pre-Mechanical Engineering.Contact Information
