University of Idaho


The University of Idaho is a nationally recognized research institution, leading as one of the nation's premier land-grant research universities. Founded in Moscow in 1889, the residential campus offers students a wide array of academic choices including 130 undergraduate majors, 88 master's programs, 32 doctoral programs, a law school and 3 specialist programs. With over 12,000 enrolled students and an 18:1 student teacher ratio, the University of Idaho faculty and students are able to take advantage of this teaching and learning environment for a higher rate of academic success.

The University of Idaho boasts of its beautiful, 308-acre campus that is nestled within the progressive and very safe confines of Moscow. Living and learning in Moscow’s student-friendly community provides students with shopping, eateries, lively local arts and music scene, movie theaters, malls, and a location prime for outdoor and nature enthusiasts. A limited number of WUE awards are provided through a competitive selection process in the areas of performing arts, National Merit Scholars, diversity, and the Honors Program. To apply, complete the application for admission. Apply early to ensure you are eligible for consideration. The institution does offer other tuition assistance programs through a program called Discover Idaho. Eligibility priority date:  December 1
