Nevada State College


Nevada State College is the newest institution and first four-year state college of the Nevada System of Higher Education. The campus is located in Henderson and is currently master-planning its 500+ acre site in the southeast foothills of the Las Vegas Valley.

NSC first opened its doors in 2002 to 176 students. Enrollment has rapidly grown to over 3,000 students representing a broad array of cultural and economic backgrounds. NSC has more than 20 distinct baccalaureate programs - degrees are offered in Applied Science, Biology, Business Management, Criminal Justice, English, Environmental & Resource Science, History, Integrated Studies, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Speech Pathology, Teacher Preparation, Visual Media, as well as other areas.

NSC received independent accreditation at the baccalaureate degree level from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities in 2011.
